This is the first album of the band and the beggining of the most magnificent Doom Metal band.
My Dying Bride is one of the pioneers of Death Doom, alongside Anathema and Paradise Lost; but is the unique of these that keeps on Doom until date. My Dying Bride rules!!!

In this first work they play a devastating Doom Death with violins and keyboards in sinister performance. The melodies are beautiful darkness, desolation and anguish. The riffs are very dense. The guttural vocals are deep grunts and extreme grunts.

I have considered post, on this week, the whole discography of "My Dying Bride" for Doomsters that have not yet listened these albums. This material is esential for the perfect agony of every day!

Examples of absolute misery and suffering are "Searme MCMXCIII" and "Black God". One of my favorite tracks is the magnificent "Turn Loose the Swans".

If you listen to this album in a day of suffering, you will die of sorrow. This album is essential for each Doomster collection!!!

In this album Aaron Stainthorpe uses for first time clean vocals in the album's totality, the performance of his voice is one of the best, his voice is melancholic, sad and distressing. Other high point is the use of violins and majestic keyboards, making the songs very mournful and mysterious. The riffs are ultra heavy, accompanied by dense atmosphere.

This album is absolute suffering, darkness and misery. Tracks like "The Cry of Mankind", "Black Voyage", and "For Darkest Skies" are classic songs until date.

This album contains 2 Discs, the first disc is "The Angel and the Dark River" more 1 bonus track. The second disc is "Live at the Dynamo '95".

This album is mandatory for all Doomster. This is a great masterpiece!!!

This is the fourth album of this mournful band. The melodies are sorrow, mystery, hopeless, melancholy, suffering and despair. The riffs are ultra slow, very well performed. The keyboards create a mysterious atmosphere, darkened and distressing. The vocals are deep grunts with full anguish and pain. This is a monumental Funeral album, one of the best works of the band.
This material is for dying souls! Highly recommended!!!
