This release is highly recommended for lovers of these genres and new experiences!

This is the only full-length of the best Peruvian Doom band. They play Doom Metal with Folk influences, playing Andean instruments like 'rain stick', kena (south american flute), zampoña, charango, and more.

They get a perfect combination of these Peruvian Folk elements with Doom Metal and 70's influences, the result is fantastic Folk Doom, with perfect melodies, beautiful passages, melodic riffs, raw moments, clean & harsh vocals, and deep grunts.

'Testimonios' is one of the best Folk Doom Albums from South America, and the only Andean Folk Doom around the world till date. Highly recommended!!!

This is the first album of this Chilean band. Folk Doom with mournful keyboards, atmospheric elements, acoustic passages, melodic riffs, amazing melodies, melancholic clean vocals, and cavernous growls.

For me this is the best album of the band, full of melancholy, sadness, acoustic guitars and painful riffs. Highly recommended!

Ashen Mortality - Your Caress (1998)

This is the second and last album of this magnificent band; from their ashes was born My Silent Wake, formed by Ian Arkley (vocals on My Silent Wake). Their sound and style have many resemblance to My Silent Wake, but with some differences. The guitars are very well worked with intricate and melodic riffs. The vocals are excellent with deep grunts, enigmatic female voices, and clean vocals in the vein of Aaron Stainthorpe (My Dying Bride).
This album is highly recommended!

My Silent Wake - A Garland of Tears (2008)

Genre : Melodic Doom Death/Pagan Folk
Country : England

This is the awaited third album of this magnificent band. The band's style could be described as Melodic Doom Death but their influences are wide, going from Doom Death to some passages of Pagan and Folk Metal.

The guitars are very well performed, getting create amazing melodic riffs, mixed with acoustic guitars and Pagan riffs. These Pagan riffs are a little close to Falkenbach and Nydvind. The melodies express melancholy, despair, pain and sadness. The vocals are excellent and intense, they use aggressive grunts, melancholic clean voices, and some female chants. This masterpiece is highly recommended!!!

This is the first album of this amazing band. The style in all their works is between Atmospheric Doom and Pagan Black, with acoustic ambient, crushing slow riffs, and blackened guitar distortion. The melodies are isolation, depression, anguish and darkness. The vocals are very well performed goes from cavernous screams to sepulchral whispers and dark chants. The three albums of the band are highly recommended!!!

Amazing debut album of the band. Kauan has incorporated different styles as Doom, Black, Dark and Folk with atmospheric passages and majestic melodies, full of melancholy, depression, beauty, and darkness. The keyboards have classical arrangements with mournful sound. The vocals are Black and clean, accompanied by some choirs. The album has been based on the written in Finnish language. This album is a masterpiece, and the second track is perfect.
Highly recommended!!!

For fans of the melancholic stuff, also fans of Agalloch, Empyrium and Rakoth.

This is the second album of this brilliant band that combines Israelian folk with crushing Doom Death and emotional melodies. The use of deep grunts and emotive clean vocals is perfect. The acoustic passages and folk influences are very well worked. This is one of the best Orphaned Land albums!
