Hi doomsters!
I tried to work with Megaupload today, but I found some problems with the files "temporarily Unavailable", I tried up to 3 times to download my files, finally with success. This site is less restricted that Rapidshare, but has many restrictions if you are "no membership", but if you are free member can have some advantages, in the hours with less traffic you can download many files in few hours, without "the famous" 15 waiting time minutes between downloads!
Then, I decided work with Rapidshare and Megaupload, the more awaited albums will be uploaded to both servers at the same time, the old material and the unknown bands will be uploaded only to one server. You choose Rapidshare or Megaupload for these bands!
I not use Mediafire, Sharebee, or other server for personal reasons. I want the total control of my files without problems, allowed only in warranted servers like Rapidshare and Megaupload.
I try to improve the service of the Blog and soon I hope to have good news and launch new projects... Thanks for the comments and ideas!

Tratè de trabajar con Megaupload hoy, pero encontrè algunos problemas con los archivos "temporalmente desactivados", intentè hasta 3 veces descargar mis archivos, finalmente con èxito. Este sitio es menos restringido que Rapidshare, pero tiene muchas restricciones si tu no eres miembro, pero si eres miembro con suscripcion gratuita, puedes tener algunas ventajas en las horas de menor trafico, puedes descargar muchos archivos en pocas horas, sin los 15 famosos minutos de espera entre descargas.
Entonces decidi trabajar con Rapidshare y Megaupload, los mas esperados albumes seràn subidos a ambos servidores al mismo tiempo, el material antiguo y las bandas desconocidas seràn subidas solo a un servidor. Tu elige Rapidshare o Megaupload para estas bandas!
No uso Mediafire o Sharebee por razones personales. Yo quiero el control total de mis archivos sin problemas, algo permitido solo en servidores garantizados como Rapidshare o Megaupload.
Intento mejorar el servicio del Blog y pronto espero tener buenas noticias y poder lanzar nuevos proyectos... Gracias por todos los comentarios e ideas!

que onda doomster,
puedes utiliar el Jdownloader para generar algunos archivos .dlc donde incluyas los links de los albumes que subes, asi nosotros solo descargamos el dlc y escogemos de la lista los que deseamos. Puede ser una buena opcion, ya que este gestor trabaja muy bien tanto con RS como con MU. Y si no, pues con MU esta muy bien que trabajes es por mucho mas eficiente que RS.

Thanks for considering the switch. I hate to complain about something that's free thing and I know you do this blog in your spare time. I think I speak for everyone when I say we appreciate your efforts. I've discovered some great bands through this blog and hope to continue to do so.
You're not going to find a file host that will satisfy everyone. Why not try Multiupload or Sharebee? You upload the file once, they upload it to multiple sites and the downloaders get to choose.

we have internet filtering in iran and we cant use many site like megaupload and youtube.,,., !
In the multiupload or Sharebee I don't have control of my files. I want an account to manage my files. I listen many problems with Megaupload and the IP, or country restrictions, maybe Megaupload is not the solution. Better is to work with Rapidshare and Megaupload only for some new albums, uploaded at the same time to Rapidshare.
Also seeing the restrictions in countries like Iran, Czech Republic and other friends countries, I can't put restrictions to followers from these countries. Rapidshare has not country restrictions!
In Mediafire you can make your own Account and manage your files. I have one too. It's good.
Thanks Doomster for the effort and I'm glad you decided to stay with Rapidshare. I know sometimes it can be a pain in the ass, but megaupload (at least for me) is a bigger pain, with more spam, etc, etc. Thanks again!
What's wrong with Mediafire...? They offer free parallel downloads that are usually quite fast...
If you don't have a premium account Rapidshare can be a real bitch. And I refuse to pay for free downloads.

Rapidshare is slow, but is safe, no problems with it!!!....
As of lately RS has changed their policy to make files unavailable to free users most of the day, which has been a real pain. I'm all for the mediafire.
I'm sorry, but I haven't found anything about the Hungarian Gothic/Funeral/Doom-Dark Ambient-Neofolk-Sperimental Metal band called Öröm. I hope that you know them. If there isn't any album of this awesome band, I can send you by e-mail some of their songs, like Csöndben. On youtube you can find the official video of the song. What's the problem with MediaFire? I have been using only that for the past 6 months and just 5 files were deleted due to a DMCA complaint. On rapidshare i seen lots of missing files even after a few days and the waiting time is a bitch. So is the "all slots for you country are full" message. It may be more "secure" for the uploader but the inconveniences don't make up for it.
Keep up the great work doomstermaniac (i have downloaded over 80% of your albums ;))
